Recently, it was announced by the IEEE Hyper-Intelligence Technical Committee (IEEE HITC) that Associate Researcher Li Meng from our school has been awarded the 2024 IEEE HITC "Early Career Achievement Award" for Excellence in Early Career Research. This marks the first time a young scholar from our school has received this prestigious honor, highlighting the growing influence of our faculty in the international academic community, particularly in the field of cybersecurity.
The award, established by the IEEE HITC in 2022, recognizes early-career scholars who have made outstanding academic contributions within five years of earning their PhD and demonstrate significant potential for future development. The nomination process is highly competitive, with many candidates worldwide, and the committee ultimately selects 5-6 young scientists who have made exceptional contributions to the field of computer science early in their careers.
Associate Researcher Li Meng was recognized for his outstanding research in the areas of vehicular network security and privacy. This award not only acknowledges the high level of his research achievements and academic contributions, but also serves as recognition of the significant accomplishments of the UbiP Lab (Ubiquitous Privacy Laborat).
